Internet Addiction

Ok someone kick me in the pants and tell me to STOP surfing the net and GET TO WORK!!!!

I have stopped my more 'dangerous' internet habits....but now I am addicted to Psych Central. And home decorating websites (we're building a house). And my family's blogs.

I come to work, turn on the computer, and for some reason internet explorer loads faster than my other software. So I just get on to "check my email". But three hours later, I'm still online, and only pretending to work.

This is not good.

And it's not the stress of work anymore. All my projects are done, what I'm working on now isn't due for a couple weeks.

Why why why why why can't I just focus??!!!!

I guess on the bright side, this is a good place to be addicted to. But it's still not good.

I know that feeling all too well! It's like a magnetic pull to be surfing the net!!!

What is it about Psych Central, do you think?
I know when I was on the Internet a lot, it was because I liked the interaction, on forums or AIM or stuff.

Well, yeah it's the interaction I think. Before this, I was addicted to some parenting message boards....and worst...some not-so-good chat rooms.

In person I am not social at all. I just can't talk. But online, I type like crazy. It's weird.

Federal tax season may be over soon. I have until May 1 to pay state tax!

I've got that addiction sometimes too... especially when I should be studying (like now!)
