I hate people, I hate literally every person except myself. I plan on isolating myself completely from them, or should I say you.
I hate isolation too, though I hate it less than I hate people.

Should I go to a therapist for this? I really don't think the therapist is going to change anything because I thought about every little thing anyone can say to me to change my mind, not only about this topic but about any topic.

So what do you guys think?

I would suggest therapy. I'd hate to see you live your life totally shut in alone. That would be sad.

A therapist can't change anything, but can give you tools and insight into why you feel the way you do, and you might decide YOU want to change. If you aren't happy the way your life is going, a therapist can help. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain

If that's what a therapist does then I don't need one, I already know why I'm like this.

It sounds like you have made your mind up and I assume you are OK with that decision? Or do you think you can improve things with some work with a T?

I don't know what a therapist does so I can't answer your question.

Well since I made a plan that I'm following I'm obviously okay with it, I'm just kinda at last step so I wanted to see if I missed something.
There is actually one way for me to change completely. If I meet a girl that's similar to my imaginary friend.

Yes, I have imaginary friends.

So can you tell me what a therapist does?

A therapist can listen and give feedback.

Asking if you' should' makes it seem like it's required. No one is obligated to attend therapy, lest it's court ordered or similar.

If your decision to isolate is chosen with logic and thought, then it's your choice.

I went into therapy with the same outlook as you have, that it won't work...what could it do? I'm happy the way I am (even though I wasn't) and as a result I was resistant to it and therapy didn't work for me for a long while. I had to get to a stage where I wanted to feel a bit better, where I didn't want to spend my life locked away, completely alone with paranoid thoughts and awful feelings. You have want it to work... for it to work otherwise you're wasting your time.

A therapist will give you the tools you need to help yourself, they won't force you to do anything or try to 'change' you, they are just going to be a steady guidance for you and a wealth of knowledge on how to help yourself feel better. And nobody is going to force you to attend, you are in control of your therapy.

If you need to ask, then I say you need to talk to someone. Just my opinion. I hate people too.

Hello Programmer,

Here is a link Psychotherapy - Psych Central explaining what therapy is and how it may help you.

I think a therapist would really help out a lot. If you talk things out, it helps to relieve the pressure of those situations you need to work on.
