As in knowing someone who is married, has gorgeous kids, filthy rich, close friends and successful businesses? Is it the way that some people do end up with everything?

It is possible to have it all, but that does not guarantee happiness. ( I'd like to disprove the theory that money does not buy happiness, but no one will give me a million dollars to do the experiment )

Don't ever believe what you see...people who seem to have it all.....don't...they are human and have problems just like anyone else....behind closed doors...arguments, alcoholism, abuse, etc., etc.....you only know what you see.

Look at celebrities; some of them have such messed up lives, and yet to outsiders seem to have everything....not

Quote:
SYNONYMS:
possible, workable, practicable, feasible, viable

These adjectives mean capable of occurring or being done. Possible indicates that something may happen, exist, be true, or be realizable: "I made out a list of questions and possible answers" (Mary Roberts Rinehart). Workable is used of something that can be put into effective operation: If the scheme is workable, how will you implement it? Something that is practicable is capable of being effected, done, or put into practice: "As soon as it was practicable, he would conclude his business" (George Eliot). Feasible refers to what can be accomplished, brought about, or carried out: Making cars by hand is possible but not economically feasible. Viable implies having the capacity for continuing effectiveness or success: "How viable are the ancient legends as vehicles for modern literary themes?" (Richard Kain).
Hello, Jenni855. "Possible" covers a lot of territory. "... have it all" means different things to different people.

Unlikely.

Hi Jenni, Once I saw an interview with the great Paul Newman. The interviewer asked Paul if he felt he was more talented or more special than other actors he knew who hadn't become as famous. Paul's answer? "No. I don't think I'm more talented or more special. I think I am very, very lucky."

I believe that. I believe that some people are just plain luckier than others. I have no idea why...there are a million possibilities. But from my experience it just seems like some people are in the right place at the right time more often than other people are.
Thanks for this!

I'd say no, just because it's human nature to want what we don't have. Some people are able to find peace/satisfaction once they get to a certain point, but it's only natural that even if a person achieved their own version of a "best case scenario," they would still wonder from time to time about the paths untaken.

Nope. We're never truly satisfied and need to be problem solvers so i would say it's contradictory to the nature of our species. Besides who cares for superficiality...if you have no brains in your head, no family/friends who truly love you and your whole life is consumed with the thought of money - 'having it all' arguably means very little.
