Hi, I'm new to this group but unfortunately not new to mental health issues. I've been diagnosed with major depression, but i recently relocated to GA. from MI. and the psych. here in GA. now says i'm bipolar...I have an eating disorder, anorexia and bulimia, also have social anxiety issues and substance abuse history(been clean about 5 years) I have been inpatient countless times for my e.d. but nothing has helped. I've tried to go on with my life in some way despite of my e.d. thoughts and behaviors only to fail at most anything i've tried to do or accomplish, and i'm talking over the course of 40+years. I also stopped all my meds a while back because with my e.d. they were all making me extremely nauseous. The only difference i notice are frequent crying spells. My insurance is giving me problems towards treatment.. I'm trying to somehow go on living..but its getting harder an harder to focus or concentrate on anything.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.. thank you...

Hello tryingtobehopefull: Welcome to PsychCentral. PC is a great place to gain support, learn strategies for handling mental health concerns, & to make internet friends. There are many wonderfully supportive members here on PsychCentral. A couple of forums you may want to check out would include:
Bipolar - Forums at Psych Central Eating Disorders - Forums at Psych Central All new members' first 5 posts are reviewed before they become available for viewing by the community. So there may be a delay between the time that you submit your first 5 posts & the point at which they become available for viewing. However, once these initial posts have been reviewed & approved, your posts will become available for viewing as soon as you click the submit button. There are quite a few forums in which you will be able to post. If you have not already done so, be sure to look through the listing in the Forum Index: http://forums.psychcentral.com/ Each forum is listed in the Index along with a brief description of it's purpose. Also, once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved, you will be able to participate in our chat rooms where you'll have the opportunity to correspond with other PC members in real time. These chat rooms are listed on the community calendar showing the dates & times they meet: Forums at Psych Central - Calendar Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact any member of the Community Liaison Team. Best wishes... ![]() ![]() |

Hello, I'm sorry you're having trouble. Where do you live? I just recently moved back with my family for a breather and it has helped. Any way that you can reduce stress is good. I'm also on adderrall, which has proven very useful for treatment resistant depression. (Google!) Maybe you could talk to your doc about this? I've been praying a lot too which also helps. My puppy helps too, he is a shitzu.
Hoping you're feeling a little better today ~
