Does any one know why rating others and finding my self coming up short is part of dipping into depression ?

Just guessing here, but I would think that comparing yourself to others and feeling that they are better than you would impact your self esteem and could help push a person into depression.

It be affecting you self-esteem. I find that when do that to myself my self-esteem and confidence is really bad. My advice to you is just to be yourself. Don't compare yourself to others and be something that you know you're now
