I have Conversion Disorder due to PTSD and Repressed Memory Syndrome...it presents as Epilepsy...basically that means it comes out sideways and I occasionally have mal seizures that look exactly like epileptic seizures. I consulted a psychologist whom I consider to be the best in his field in the area I live in and he said he had never encounter anyone with my diagnosis so I am reaching out to the world of cyberspace hoping to find some answers here...

Hello CaptainChaos79,

We have a forum here specifically for Somatic/conversion disorders >>> Somatic Disorders It's a fairly new forum that was added because there were many other people asking for it, you are not alone.

I used to have a friend who had that type of epilepsy, except it wasn't grand mal seizures. She had bipolar disorder and maybe PTSD too. I remember she said that it was very hard for her to get a diagnosis for her seizures. I saw her have the seizures a couple of times when something really upsetting happened.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
