I have dysarthria. I was diagnosed with a mild dysarthria by a clinic. Does that make me antisocial and a hermit Its hard for me to move my tongue when I talk and it feels like I am moving a rubber band. I write fine as I have received good grades on my english class essays.
My friends all call me antisocial and a hermit. |

Hello makeshift333,
You have difficulty in pronouncing words, it's not to do with cognition or with having a mental health issue unless it makes you feel anxious or shy because of the issue. I can understand if you have difficulty in communicating then others need to listen and be patient, that is their issue, not yours! I guess it could come down to whether you are an extrovert or introvert with your personality, that doesn't mean you are antisocial. ![]()
