I find it an interesting topic because I think people have thought "What's wrong with you?" towards somebody who doesn't think the same as them a lot more than they care to admit. I know I have in the past. So what arouses this thought? Is it normal to think negatively of people who don't think the same as you? And is it naturally hypocritical to say or even think you should respect other peoples' opinions? Just curious.
I don't know about 'normal', but I do believe it's immature and unwise to believe that if someone has an opinion or belief that is different from your own there's something wrong with them.

I respect other people's opinions and I am not a hypocrite. I truly value differences, because we can learn wonderful things from each other.

It's also downright unappreciative, to malign those who disagree with us, since without their doing so we'd have no opportunity for idea enrichment through discourse; a pastime which some love more than others but which generally fires up our thinking and even allows us to better appreciate our own ideas through the lens of other viewpoints.

It can get progressively more exhausting though, engaging with those who are unwilling to coordinate a baseline of mutual respect, or who don't appreciate the true value of shared discourse. However, there are a lot of people that fall into this category, so if "normal" means "average", it just might be.
