There is someone I know that talks crap about someone behind their back. But when that person they talk about is there, the person acts like she likes the person she says she dislikes. Just confused like not sure if they are just being civil or fake. Just confusing,

Hello ryanLR15, it's really hard to say without knowing this person. It could be that they trust you enough to tell you how they really feel about the other person. For example, say I hated my boss and I told you as a friend that I hated them, there would be no way that I could say that to the boss as I would lose my job. It might be that this person you are talking about has to keep face within a group and can't say how they really feel in front of others. I'm guessing here, I suggest you ask that person and see what they have to say about it.

i agree with pegasus. it all depends. like at work, there are people i have to deal with all the time that i dont like, but i am nice to them because it is part of my job, so i am civil to them when i am around them. but if i were to go out of my way and befriend them and suck up to them, take them into my confidence and say things opposite of my "trash talk", well then i would then be being two faced.
