Higher speed = intelligence

The rest is due to high Anxiety.

Hello jollygoodfellow: I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral... from the Skeezyks. May you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

I'm afraid I wouldn't know what to suggest with regard to the tics in your head & your throat clearing. I think it's important to get yourself checked out by a medical doctor to make sure there's nothing wrong physically. From my layman's perspective, these sound like "tics", which can range from mild to more severe such as Tourette's Syndrome. Here is a link to some basic information on tics on the Wikipedia website:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tic

Beyond that, perhaps this is simply something that is being caused by anxiety or some form of OCD. This is something you would need to discuss with a psychiatrist or psychologist.
