So sometimes, when I feel like I've done something wrong, or I talk to someone new/do something new (idk how to explain but i hope that makes sense), I freak out for days afterwards and I can't stop thinking about it. I start literally talking to myself saying "omg why didn't I say blah blah" and I'll curse at myself and I do this a lot, I just don't know why. Like no matter what I do to take my mind off of it, I still think about it.
Like the date I went on like. a whole week ago. I'm still freaking out about it cause it was the first date and I feel like I could've done better because it felt awkward and stuff.
anyways is this a normal thing or is it something weird?

I think it is a sign of anxiety. I do that a lot, too. Especially, after a new meeting or meeting up with my ex. I go over and over what I said to see if it could be considered rude or something. I think you are normal for someone who has anxiety.

for some people yes this is completely normal and for others it is not. for me yes it is normal for me to question what I said and did with others. It becomes part of my OCD or PTSD when these thoughts and questionings interfere with my daily life.

my suggestion is if this continues to bother you contact a treatment provider who can diagnose whether this is normal with in you and if not get you treated for what ever it turns out to be with in you.

I would say that it's pretty normal to have some anxiety about your first date, right. A little bit of performance anxiety is good. But if you find that you are being debilitated by these thoughts, if they are constant then please let your doctor know.

If you did not feel awkward and stuff on your 1st date, that would be abnormal.
