Starting to feel intense anxiety after being triggered this morning. I'm afraid it's going to turn into an anxiety attack.
I'm a sahm of 2 and now 6 months pregnant.
I need this to stop so I don't cry or become unable to take care of my kids.
*they are safe*
I'll just turn into a nervous wreck and start crying and probably hyperventilating in a separate room, but my kids are 4 and 1... so they can't be alone for any amount of time. I don't have a babysitter. I just need this to stop.
Any suggestions???
Hugs from:

Have you tried mindfulness? Focus on your breath for two minutes. If your mind wanders, refocus on your breath. This brings me a sense of calm. I hope it works for you!

This sounds backwards but it does work. Accept that you've been triggered and embrace it. Feel it then let it go. The more you try to fight it the stronger it gets. Sounds simple and easy but it's not it's hard. It does work and it does take practice.

Thank you. I'm feeling better now. My kids went down for nap time so I think having that pressure taken off really helped thank you so much!!!

It's hard to do self-care sometimes when you have small children. You do need to take advantage of nap-times and such to regain your sense of balance.
