Hi all. I have been diagnosed for about 2 years now but I was wondering how often does your mood change? How often is "normal"? Few days I am in euthymic mood, calm, and then I burst into a monster (as my boyfriend says). Especially in last few weeks, since I am under a lot of stress at work. I am fine when I arrive and then just go crazy, then calm down and then again. I see that it's being hard for him to keep up with me. I want to hear your opinions.

My moods change every few minutes. I never show these mood swings, so people just think I am calm all the time.

They are so private that I have been told by my doctor that I do not have bipolar or any other mood disorder.

I can go from being euphoric to feeling hopeless in a matter of minutes.

I am highly sensitive and emotions can turn in minutes. It's a blessing and a curse.

under normal daily living my moods change from moment to moment. example if I see something I like and enjoy my mood is elevated to happiness, contentment, if something happens that I dont like I get angry, if I am planning something for the near future I get excited.... short version my senses take in what I experience and then my mood changes. sometimes I can change moods thousands of times a day just because I am having the kind of day that is very active, stimulating of my senses. other days I can remain very angry or very happy or sad or what have you depending upon whats going on in my life. just turning on the news some days is a roller coaster ride of emotions/ moods.

that said I do have many mental disorders where if I am going through my mental disorder problems my moods will be erratic. for this I contact my own treatment providers who do treatment adjustments/ changes that helps stabilize my mental problems symptoms.

my suggestion is contact your treatment providers, they will be able to diagnose whether this is normal for you or part of your mental disorders and get you treated so that it no longer causes you problems.

Generally it evolves throughout the day, and many days I am not particularly emotional at all.

hey thought I'll thank you all for your answers (helped me a lot) and give you a short feedback.
It helped me, because I didn't feel ashamed of myself, my feelings and moods anymore. Well, ok. Atleast I always told myself that I don't have to.
To be normal means a lot to me. As normal as can be.
Also I started with some yoga and meditation class. It helps me to step back a little and think and reflect before acting. Keeps me calmer and more relaxed.
Thanks again :*
