Anyone else have the tendancy to space out a lot and are just unable to remain focued? I have this problem. Not too major but it is there. I know that can be a sign of ADD/ADHD but I know it doesn’t mean I have it. Sometimes I think I may have it but then again it could be something else that causes the symptoms. I can have start a task, whther it is at work or anywhere else and easily get side tracked or lose focus way more than most other people that are around me. I also space out a lot and it can be for long periods of time. I may find myself also getting a bit figety when I have to sit for long periods of time. I also tend to interrupt by impulse by accident way more than I should and I always feel bad.

If I am in a good mood, the symptoms are still there but I seem to be able to manage them a little better or snap out of spacing out sooner. If I am depressed about something though, that is when it is the worst. And I space out for longer periods of time before snapping out of it. Also I tend to be very forgetful about doing things I usually do or keep making the same small stupid mistakes I usually don’t make. Basically, the symptoms are way worse when I am upset about something. Anyone else have trouble concentrating and remaining focused or any other of these symptoms? Also I tend to lose focus on what others are saying when they are talking to me. I feel bad when that happens. If I do have minor ADD/ADHD, then it would most likely be just ADD but not sure if that is what it is or if it is something else that causes the symptoms.

Consider diet? Sugar greatly reduces my ability to stay focused on any given task. It also clouds my thinking and seems contribute to depression or disrupts my medicine. Anyway, it’s something to consider.
Thanks for this!

Maybe the stuff you are trying to focus on, maybe just be to boring for your type of mind to stay focused on.

Never really thought I would need a diet but it could be worth a try. And I didn't know sugar could have an effect like that. I do know depression can though and I do tend to have depressive tendencies at times so that probably is part of it. I will consider what you said though.

I can relate. Majority of my concentration problem has been gone since I stopped sugar about four months ago.

OH okay. Wow. Didn't know sugar, or a lack of it, could have an effect.
