So as I've mentioned in other posts, I have been diagnosed with GAD and Depression[Mild to severe]. I'm in the middle of my semester exams[trying to pass the ones I've flunked] and I usually skip lunch if I have an exam in the afternoon so I'd have time to study. I end up forgetting everything in the exam, while others don't, even if they study for less time than me. That's irrelevant, I apologize for the rant. Anyway, I feel a rage[usually directed towards my dad, context can be found in my posts] and feel like crying at the same time while going home[after a 3 hour test]. I feel a little better after I eat something. But it's like hitting the brakes on a train; it takes time to stop the feeling. Today's the third time I've observed this, but I'm sure it's happened many times before. I was just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences. Or is it just something that happens to most people when they skip a meal?

I never heard of that one but I know there are people who get anxious if they get their peas mixed up with their carrots, or have to eat each food serving separately.

Stress always makes me lose my appetite. For me it has turned into anorexia several times when it was long term stress.

I will get very grumpy when hungry & things will escalate into a fight when that happens a lot more often than not.

Also I have just come to understand that studying for me was a lot more difficult all the way through school even getting my BS because I lived in a stressful environment growing up & married into a worse stressful environment. I could barely retain things for a test if I cram studied right before the test. Fast forward.....to the age 54 when I left that marriage & moved to a much less stressful environment alone, I can read & retain & understand so much more than all those years that the stressful situations had been fillubg up my mind & not giving it the space it needed to kearn easier & retain what I learned. Go figure, at 65, I am actually thinking about getting a masters degree because I finally feel capable enough.

Not sure this answers your question but it has been my experience.

Thanks eskielover, it really does help. I guess I should change the title, I just realised it's not completely accurate. I actually have the same problem study wise.
