Hello all,
I sincerely hope that I am posting in the appropriate forum and that you guys can help me out... My question is as follows: Is there and can you recommend a psych book which specifically deals in depth with how to understand and deal with a person who is mainly motivated by fear or fear of consequences, rather than just doing the right thing or being a good and moral person? Thanks so much in advance for all your replies. -- Dan

ummm this describes every psychology book out there. in short its an instinctual response since back in cave man days to have fears and fear of consequences. because its part of how the brain naturally works the topic of emotions including fear and fears of consequences is part of just about every psych book out there.

my suggestion is visit your local library's psychology section, there you will find all kinds of material about fears, phobias, anxiety and so forth.

another suggestion if you live near a college campus visit the college book store and college library they are also a wealth of information.

another suggestion is refine / narrow your search based on actual situations an symptoms that lead you to being afraid, and what leads you to being afraid of consequences.

another suggestion is contact yours or a mental health treatment provider who can help you directly with your fears and fears of consequences.
