I’m asking a serious question. How bad do you think a person can mess up and still recover?

I think pretty badly. I know I've screwed the pooch(so to speak) a couple times. Like my life blown up bad and still recovered. It took A LOT of hard work but I've gotten back to a semi good place. Would be perfect except 12 years ago I made a mistake I'm still paying for and will be for the foreseeable future. Sooner or later this too will pass and things will be really good again.

I’m trying to put in the work right now I’m just not sure where to focus my efforts.

Can you try to break the work into pieces and divide it up into short, medium and long term work? It might help you see something little that can easily be done and then you can focus on the longer term ones. Sorry if I'm not much help.
