Only you can know for sure! Perhaps there isn't a specific moment that you realize you're "better" but more of a gradual thing. Those things you've mentioned are already excellent, i'd add to remind yourself that you're beautiful and special each day by listing all the POSITIVE things you did and/or said during the day! Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @princesscookie19, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

Thanks but is there one way to know for sure that I am getting better? I know that "my own world" is gone but I do feel ill and smell of sick?

I would say that if you have goals that are realistic for yourself (goals that you will be able to achieve) regarding your mental health, and you are achieving them, then you are getting better. For example, you could have a goal of: "I want to feel better more often and be in a more positive frame of mind more often." You may need to have a way to measure your progress. You could start a mood journal and after a month or two, look and see how you felt those past months. If you noticed you had more good days than bad days, you've accomplished your goal. That's just an example, but again, I think that if you want to see if you're getting better, look at what it is that you want (your goals) to happen with your mental health, and then look and see if that's being accomplished. If not, try not to beat yourself up or get upset with yourself. Sometimes this stuff takes time and effort. What do you want for yourself and how do you want to feel?

In terms of voices you got to see a professional about it. I am not sure we can advice about that. What does your psychiatrist say? Do you need med adjustment?
With other things do you want to be healthy enough to be able to work or live alone or go to school or maintain good schedule? How do you see it? I posted a list for you that has some basic daily routine that might indicate you are at least somewhat functioning. What did you think of that? Do you have reasonable sleep schedule? Daily routine? Do you shower? Do you eat at least few times a day reasonable amount? Do you do chores? |

One thing I do @princesscookie19 is to think back to my worst times of struggle and then compare it to how I'm going now. If there are improvements then it must mean the person is getting better. But monitor it over time because oftentimes the improvement, the getting better, does take a little while.
