Is it me or is there really something there?
During first lockdown I resurrected a hobby and as a result, have met some amazing people. Not in person, just through specialist website, e-mail and social media. One in particular has had a positive impact on my life, we have a very strong emotional connection. I'd hidden my emotions and one occasion was really nasty to "him". My apology was well received and since then we've continued to chat. Rather than being religious, he describes himself as spiritual. He also recounted some events in his life to support his belief that someone is watching over you. Over the past year, I've had a few instances of what I believe is a presence in my house. It's like a cold breeze. Not strong, just enough to make itself felt. Happens in lounge, dining room (used as office) and bedroom. Feel it's trying to get my attention. Few months ago, this went on for over 5 minutes so I said "please stop, I know you're here". It did! ![]() Just had the experience again. No windows open in house, no draughts around doors. I bought house from an elderly gentleman nearly 20 years ago. He moved to another bedroom after his wife died. Now wondering if she passed away here. Only person I could have asked was my former neighbour but it wasn't happening whilst she was here because I didn't know "him" then! ![]() |

I tend to be pretty skeptical when it comes to situations like this. If there is no scientific explanation then it isn't true, that is how I think of it. There are always coincidences, misunderstandings and even vivid imagination.
Do you think this person could have such a big impact on you that you give too much weight to these instances? Or why did you mention 'him', is he connected to these instances in some other way? Sometimes we have an out-of-body experience and the truth is we don't really know what the explanation might be. |

Thanks for your reply meowit
I too was and possibly still am sceptical. Also, the effect of lockdowns and needing something to occupy me as couldn't go shopping, to cinema, etc. Mentioning "him" related to chats we'd had, not just about our hobby. Always good to meet someone new. Yes, I credit "him" with my more open attitude so my experience could be related to that. Who knows!! |
