I'd post this in the health section if it were working. Today I've had about 10 Alka Seltzer chews, 2 Pepcids, a few gummy Tums, and 2 Dramamines. Plus my prescription stomach med Elavil. Is this too much? I've been throwing up a lot so I don't even know what stayed down and what didn't.

Doctors still can't figure things out. I'm starting to think its just my anxiety.

6 AS per day is the limit. I googled too much antacid and the side effect is nausea and vomiting. It also is bad for the kidneys. You are way over doing it. Eat real food and drink water your body will thank you.

Would you be able to sip on something like ginger tea or ginger ale? That's very soothing to the digestive system and might help with possible anxiety too.

Or maybe Gatorade? If you're throwing up, you may be dehydrated and need the electrolytes.

Don't try to drink a lot all at once to start. Tiny sips every few minutes might help you get rehydrated and settled faster.

Thanks for this!

That is definitely too much. You need to see your GI again, or better yet, another GI as you haven't seem to have gotten much help from your current one.

I like my La Croix!

I had to look up why it’s bad. Looks like it’s a problem for the teeth. Thankfully I only have one a day

I stopped drinking sparkling water and coffee and I'm trying
to limit my soda. I just need the caffeine or I get a bit psychotic if I'm in caffeine withdrawels. I've also found Iberogast drops to be more helpful with heartburn then antacids.

Idk. They never said to drink pop with food!

If its eating tooth enamel, what is it doing to ulcerated oozing mucous membrane gut lining? Deweds stomach must be like a Pepsi Mentos experiment.

Why are kids - ie adults younger than boomers - getting colon cancer so early? Aside from using booze suppositories and eating Tide Pods!

I think maybe the issue is carbonation as it doesn’t have other harmful ingredients. I think when it (drinks like La croux) goes down with food it might reduce carbonation effect?

I did read that carbonated drinks make heartburn symptoms worse. Not sure why. I need to read up on that

Ok I just looked and any carbonated drinks are bad for ulcers because carbonation aggravates one’s stomach and increases acid production etc So I’d say occasional drink might not be a problem but regular consumption of fizzy drinks is no good for someone with ulcers

It showed I had a lot of gas. And too much gas to see around my pancreas to see it. But besides that it was fine.

I'm taking my stomach med in the morning to see if that helps. I do feel better today and my blood pressure is 112/83. I cut out a lot of stuff this weekend and I started working out.

I have to cut out everything. Because even one diet coke causes this extremely painful heartburn.

So now I'm like a lethargic slug because I haven't had my 300mg of caffeine. But its not worth being in that kind of pain.
