Hippie;

Just a lot of things rushing through my mind today. Lots of irrational thoughts. Stress at work and some financial troubles. It all builds up and I get real panicky. Dosen't happen all the time but, I think I need to go out and chop some wood this weekend.
It is my stress reliever, that and weight lifting, exersize.

(((50guy))) - I'll keep you in my thoughts and sending you calming good vibes. Take some S L O W deep breaths - tap into that calm untouchable spot inside. Even if we're in a chaotic situation, we can always go within, to that calm place. I like the serenity prayer - if there's nothing you can do at this moment, then put it on a shelf for now. Make a list with 2 columns - one for things you can find a solution for and the 2nd for things out of your control.

Chopping wood, exercise is a great outlet. I also think laughing is also a good release. rent some funny movies or funny clips/shows. I always feel better when I enjoy one of those uncontrollable belly laughs.

(((50guy))) You will be in my thoughts today, and i am sending you lots of peaceful thoughts, as is Lynn.

As she says, you can break up some of that anxiety with laughter---works the best for me. And all I have to do is read the big long thread about "Pet Peeves"-right here on pc!!!

To Lynn--I got a really good belly laugh last night-early this am from your post Lynn--I needed it so badly--you've no idea how much it helped!

50 guy-- I was in an awful panic last night, and all i had to do was read a big long thread right here to break out of it------wishing you a mirthful day---theo

Postcript:
Also, it is always good to keep the Serenity Prayer in mind in all that you do:

God, grant me the Serentiy to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And the Wisdom to know the difference. Most only know these three lines, but there is more of it ,though ne'er copywrited.

And, if your Higher Power is not God, you can use the name of your higher power--it's all flexible

It is only a suggestion for you--It helps me to keep my jangling thoughts in line. Be well-theo

I'm the fruitcake in the family but my husband swears he looses all his stress when he chops wood! I have noticed when I'm having an anxious day, he is out in the woodpile! Needless to say, we stay warm in the wintertime! Hang in there 50guy, we are rooting for you.
