I am so fussy about clean taps (faucets) and clean mine up to 3 times a day.
I am also fussy about coat hangers. I only use white plastic coat hangers and they must face in the same direction. And my spice rack is colour coded. It irks me to buy a spice that doesn't match the rest and then I hide it in the cupboard. I am probably fussy about a lot more things.......

Oh, I used to be very fussy about things-----when I was a mom and wife---no, not anymore---I used to be so fussy my ex made jokes about me---very similar traits to yours, Sabrina---now, it just doesn't matter anymore.
In my old age, all I want is "just enough", and none of it needs to be perfect either--theo |

I'm fussy about coat hangers too, they all have to face the same way (as well as the clothes), when I turn the volume up on the TV or stereo it has to be on a specific number, I'm sure there are a million things but I can't think about anything else right now...

No I am not fussy, but my husband is just like you and my therapist told us that his fussiness was him trying to get and obtain some sort of control in a world (and life) where he feels he has very little control... some thing his wounded heart never gave him when he was eighteen years old and his family was destroyed due his dads infidelity after twenty-eight years of marriage.

I used to be quite the fanatic about a few things in my younger years. Not anymore. I'm too tired. In fact, I've gotten pretty bad with caring about anything, anymore....(not good, I know).
It was only a few years ago that I had this obsession with containers. Oh my God...how I loved containers....every kind, shape, form...blah blah. Until I moved, left for my "spell away", and returned. All the crap was gone, and the clutter with it....as with that obsession of containers. Guess those containers were my means of needing order in my life. Who knows. (Still need order, but not through containers, anymore....lol). Maybe....the only thing I'm fussy about anymore is my art and how it has to be perfect. Even the slightest flaw, I deem it unsatisfactory, which leaves me to not finishing it (never sign), which, I guess, is about the same thing as tossing it aside. OH...I know of one...I HAVE to have the roll facing forward, whether it be the toilet paper, or the paper towels. It just don't make sense to me to have to reach up behind it to grab the end....lol. I don't care for the frustration that comes with it, so I try to remember that "Good Enough" is good enough

I was just doing my laundry and kind of freaking because I found a dark t-shirt that needed to be in the load that was now in the rinse cycle. Now, my laundry is done and I have this stupid shirt left! I remember thinking, it would make a good topic for this forum! Must have been sending out physic waves, Sabrina. Oh, yeah, hangers must face the same way and can't be wire ones.

Generally I'm not too fussy but I agree with Shangrala about the toilet paper.
1. Toilet paper has to roll from the front. 2. I have a method of organizing the dishes in the dish washer. 3. Lights out when someone leaves the room. 4. Flush the toilet when you're done your business - grrrrr 5. Keep your socks together - big problem in my house 6. Wash my hands before food preparation or after touching meat/eggs. 7 Laundry room door must be shut to prevent the 'sock stealing fugitive' from striking -which is why there a #5. I think these are all reasonable and I'm easy to live with. I used to be more fussy about cleaning, but have become tired as the girls are getting older. I'd rather be more relaxed than having everything perfect, but do appreciate an organized house.

I'm the exact opposite - not fussy at all. It would be probably good for me if I was a little more fussy, but I can't be bothered. About the only think I keep really organized are my harp strings. I have a string bag, that has a pocket for each octive, and each pocket has to have the strings in the proper order. Now that I've bought a second harp, I'll have to order a second string bag, because I can't mix my harp's strings, even by mistake. Oh the other thing I'm fussy about is my CD's. They're organized by musical genre, then by instrument, then by artist - so I can immediately find what I'm looking for.

No. I'm not really fussy about things. I used to be more so, but now I just don't really care.
