So, I always thought that everyone faced the way I did in the shower (the way my mom taught me as a kid), but whenever I see someone on TV or the movies taking a shower they seem to be facing a different way than me and found it weird. So, I got to thinking that maybe I was the "abnormal" one. So I'm just curious... which way do you face when taking a shower? Do you have your back toward the water? Or do you have your stomach/face toward the water?

I always have my back to the water. Am I weird?

I usually turn around in a circle , so there is no real position.

You have to turn both ways, both to wash and to rinse!!!

Or maybe you only wash one side?

You got me. I do turn the other way to wash and rinse, but I'm almost always with my back to the water!

Don't like water in face! But yes, you do have to turn around to wash and rinse both sides...

I always face into the water, turn 360 as I wash and rinse there are only 3 of us who face in...I wonder why that is...? Now I feel even more abnormal

Water all over your face? Maybe I am like a cat, and do not like water in my face...

Couldn't vote because I turn around several times. When I moved into my farm, the master bath is only a beautiful walk in shower.....so I decided to buy one of those rain shower heads that spreads the water out like standing in a rain shower all over the whole body....most wonderful shower experience.

My shower is a whole process......minimum of 20 minutes unless I am in an absolute hurry & then I'm not doing my relaxing thing & it would be just an in & out shower......but mostly, it's my meditation, relaxation time of the day. I turn on the hot water & walk into the water, so at that point, I'm facing the water. I stand there for at least 10 minutes just letting the hot water pour over me until I feel relaxed. Sometimes I turn around a few times but mostly just stand there facing the water & letting it relax me. Wash my hair, rinse that out, then condition it, then wash all sides of me...lol......turning around & around to get all the soap off. Then I stand under the hot water another 5 minutes relaxing again......then in the summer, I turn the water cooler & stand under that for about another 5 minutes.......then another turn a little cooler for about 5 minutes until my body temp has cooled down enough so that I don't sweat more after I get out of the shower then when I was in it. In this hot humid weather, I have a fan blowing on me along with the ceiling fan in the bathroom to keep the steam down from the hot water. Most of the time I'm in the shower, I am facing the water. It's strange when I turn around & keep my eyes closed, sometimes I get this disoriented feeling & I don't know which way I'm standing until I open my eyes.

Ah, nothing better than the wonderful shower. Can't believe that my parents never used the shower.....we always had bath's when I was growing up. Now I never take a bath & can't stand anything but my wonderful relaxing shower.

I face both ways equally - forwards to wash my face and the front and back to rinse my hair and back. I don't mind water on my face at all.
