Over the last few days I caved in to my diet, and I just looked in the mirror... My stomach is fatter than it was when I started my diet. Then I weighed myself, I gained weight. God I hate this so much, I look like a fat pig, and I STILL want to eat something! I shouldn't have to even do this, but that stupid doctor did this to me. I'm never going to lose this weight, I just can't do this, the only thing I have to do is sit around all day and eat when I'm bored. I TRIED to eat better, I tried to exercise, and I just can't do it.

my mother used to teach me that can't died yesterday.

I just read a thread about someone smoking and now I'm reading this thread on the subject of your need to lose weight. Both subjects are two of our greatest challenge to overcome.

I guess it really boils down to what you really want to do or have happen.

I've got a weight issue I'm struggling with right now. You've done more than me in that I really haven't even begun to try. I expect to lose the weight I need to lose because I want it to be so.

Well ((((Evening))))

Never eat corn because that puts weight/fat straight onto the gut there are a few other things you shouldn't eat too; any sweet vegie is out, also never eat 2 or more than root vegies together, never eat 2 or more vine vegies together, never eat 2 or more of the same growth origin vegie in the same meal...they don't do good they metabolise poorly and stick on as stored energy.

If yoiu want to fry something use Olive Oil only and if you have to cook in butter throw in a splash of Olive Oil too Olive oil is stronger than butter and will basically "swallow" the butter and flush it through the system.

If you're going to eat chocolate, then drink a small fresh grapefruit or orange juice with pith left in, that is fibre that the body needs.

If you are going to eat pudding don't eat custard or ice cream with it, the fat in the custard and icecream coats the fat in the pudding and stores it on the body, but the fat in the pudding is usually only 1% and is minimal (Doesn't mean you can have more)

Thanks guys, I am feeling better now (although still frustrated). I caved in over the weekend and ate pizza, chocolate, etc. plus I started eating the cheese I bought and pasta. When I started this diet I cut out rice and pasta, any cooking oil, chocolate, etc. I think I will make another effort when I get paid next week. I did buy a custard apple last night, man, have yall ever tried one of those?! How did it take me 22 years to discover it! I ate the whole thing. They aren't cheap though, $4 for one. If I discover a few more things, I might not get so bored and tempted as easily.
I need to get out and exercise more but I haven't got the motivation, but I might soon, I just got an email from a pet store that they will contact me in a few weeks! That will definitely give me a huge amount of motivation.

One thing that helps me immensely is to track my daily calories on Fitday.com. It's free. I weigh and measure all my food and track it on Fitday. It even lets me see if I am getting all my nutrients.

Knowing that you have to record all your food naturally makes you choose healthier foods.

My rule of thumb is NEVER say "NEVER" & NEVER say "I CAN'T". Even if you don't exercise, you need to find something that you can interest yourself in (like a craft) while you are in the house to keep your mind stimulated & your hands off of the food. I enjoy beading crafts & jewelry or tapestry or quilting or playing an instrument.....or even cleaning the house (not to work up an appetite though...lol)

I just saw a Best of Oprah show yesterday where they were talking about food/eating and a program and book "Women...Food...God". It helps a person examine their relationship with food, reasons for eating, etc. That's all I know but it sounded like something enlightening to look into.

Please don't say you failed - that really hurts you. The Canadian Healt Food diet suggests: a handful of protein, a handful of grains/cereals and two handfuls of vegetables. In between meals: nuts and fruit. Plenty of water (add drops of pure lemon juice it knocks out your appetite). Go for a walk after your meals. I don't believe you can fail in life. I believe you can fluctuate between better or worse, but you have to keep moving, keep trying. That's what living is all about.

I don't think there is even any point in me dieting until I have a life. I have no job and not a lot of friends, so I have a hell of an appetite because I don't have a lot to do, and I don't have a lot of motivation or energy to exercise because I do nothing all day, even if I want to. Once I get a job I'll have something to really get my mind off of food. That and I can limit what I eat because I don't have a kitchen of food constantly near me, only what I take.
