Yesterday I went on a hike to try and find the cave I've been looking for. I guess the third time's the charm because this was the third attempt. It was suprisingly easy to get to despite the steepness of the trail... this time we went left instead of straight and there it was! The cave mouth was pretty vertical so getting in was a little tricky. My flashlight decided not work (despite being new) so we only two lights. It was a very interesting cave. There was "popcorn" every where in there, and I was suprised to find a couple of areas where there was live flowstone. Getting from chamber to chamber required crawling, so unfortunately one of my friends couldn't get past the second chamber, so me my other friend went on sharing the flashlight. We got all the way to the fourth(?) chamber before we hit a spot my other friend couldn't squeeze through, so I crawled maybe ten feet before I decided it was a little too tight for comfort (though I'm sure I could have sqeezed through), and besides I had the flashlight. It was really hot in that cave; the air outside was around 85 but I swear it got to 100 by the last chamber. It took us a while to get out of the last chamber; we just couldn't find the tunnel out, because it was hidden behind a big rock. We emerged from that cave utterly covered in dirt and bruises; needless to say I hurt a little today. I thought this was a little odd; in every chamber there was a small white floating-type candle placed on a rock near the middle of each chamber?

Wonder who had been there before you to place the candles? And why?
