Wanted to let you all know that I had my Gastric Bypass on Tuesday night. I got discharged from the hospital this morning and have been dozing on and off all day.
The pain meds have me pretty GOOKED out right n so I might not make much sense. Too much typing makes the belly hurt so I'm gonna head back to the couch and I check in later. Peace Out

Thanks for the update. I am glad that you made the harrowing few days leading up to your surgery as well. Rest lots, be gentle with yourself as this new journey in your life begins.

I did not know you had surgery. Gosh, am sending you "good" vibes for a speedy recovery. Hope you feel better soon... Take care of yourself and get plenty of sleep...

Well, I'm at post-op day 3, and things are going pretty good. No nausea (yea!!! I hate it) and I am able to be up and around a bit taking some short walks.
I'm taking some pretty strong pain meds.  LOL!! As if I'm not freaky enough without them!! Hee Hee!!  The meds are helpful. If you all have ever done too many sit-ups and woke up the next day with your abdomen on fire....this is similar to what it feels like, only a little bit worse. Anyway...wanted to stop in and say "Howdy" to y'all!! And say "Thanks" for the support. I think that this is going to be a very good thing for me. Oh.....and that week I was on my pre-op diet, just drinking the protein shakes....I dropped almost 9 pounds before surgery, which the Surgeon said made it easier for him, so Yea!! Okay....time to head back to the sofa!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery & hope this is successful with your weight issues. Know it's tough on either side of our appropriate weight. I met a lady who had the same surgery as you just had & she almost looked like she had anorexia when I met her. Would have never guessed she got to where she was through the gastric bypass surgery.
