What are you plans for the weekend?

I’m supposed to visit gram (but not sure if this is going to happen b/c she’s not feeling well)
Go to a friend’s house for a super bowl party.
I need a haircut
Have to do laundry
My parents want to get together at some point.

Eh, overall, a pretty normal, low-key weekend.

Go to NA. Go to religious services. Rest. Maybe go to a movie with my wife. We are going to watch the american football championship final game in the national football league of the USA, also. Go Patriots!

I'm sorry BB> hope things look up for you this weekend.

Yes - the Pats are playing on Sunday!!!! Hopefully we'll win against NY!

I got word that I'm not visiting the gram this weekend - she isn't feeling up to it. Now - you think I should invite my parents up for a lunch or dinner on Sat, so that they can see my new place? Kinda don't want to....but, they haven't seen it since I moved in a month ago (a month is a long time for us to go) and we talk every day.
Suggestions????

You do what you need to do for yourself, but please keep in mind ... You're setting precedents for the rest of your visiting-parent lifetimes. And yours. Be kind to yourself, doggiedo. Hug your parents, but be kind to yourself.

Dem's my suggestions.

The Hubby and I were going to go camping. Forecast says its going to rain where we were going and that place gets flooded. So scratch that idea. In honor of the cancelled camping trip. I plan to work on my online scrapbook of all our camping adventures at Lost Maples State Park. Then share it with my Hubby or get him to participate. Mixbook.com is awesome, if you my fellow scrapbookers want something new. Replace the hikes with some nice long walks. Maybe even in the rain. Our Superbowl plans also got cancelled. No matter what I plan to have a GReat weekend. I don't care if our plans got ruin. I will keep me going. My days don't always have to be planned and I want to be able to do things out on a whim like I use to.
Thanks for this!

Aw - that stinks you guys were able to go camping. What a bummer. I guess that's pretty common- the flooding. That happened to us last August and we had to switch campgrounds (luckily there were other opens open). Way to keep a positive attitude though...

I ended up inviting my parents out for lunch on Saturday. I went out and got a haircut - found a place that did it for $14 - wow, what a deal! And, it looked good! After my parents visited (which was a little nice AND a little stressful for me) I was able to go to my bf's house and watch a movie with him and his kids. We make cookies, too. It was a really nice time. On Sunday, he seemed kind of in a funk. I think he's been feeling a little down, too, lately. Not quite sure how to help me.

I ended the weekend going to my friend's house last night for a superbowl party. It was great to see her and very relaxing. I always hate driving the hour to see her, but it's really worth it.

Overall, pretty good weekend. TOo bad the Pats didn't win.

well...you must be way up in the NE US...cuz down here in the NE US we are damn skippy happy about the GAINTS. it was a good game tho...kept your attention..had to laugh at the giants last td...i don't want to score, don't want to score..oh damn i toppled in..as everyone stood & watched me.

i camped in NH right after the hurricane...last year..what a mess..nothing much by me down by the shore in jersey but north jersey got beat up pretty bad (oddly where i mandatory evac'd too) & NH was killed...it just seemed so odd for the interior mountains way up north to be so badly beat up by a hurricane. me i live right on the beach...lost power, had some not so bad flooding but not much else...very weird.
Thanks for this!
