What is the reason behind the fact that some race some races have ...

First off, I want to make one thing ABSOLUTELY clear. This should not be taken as racist statement, and I am not racist. This is only MY thought.

I am from a country which is between Eastern Europe and West Asia -- I will not mention it exactly

What I have realized is that people from my country (including middle eastern people, Persians, Turks and me) are really ugly as compared to Western (French, German and British) and Eastern Europeans, Slavic people, and Russian people.

If beauty/handsomeness is in the eye of the beholder, why do many many people (who are from my country) agree with me? We acknowledged the fact that we and Mideastern people and West Asians are uglier and less handsome.

What is the reason behind the fact that some race some races have beautiful women and handsome guys?

Maybe they all look the same?

I think it is a perspective thing. Attractiveness is highly subjective and different depending on individuals and culture. Perhaps in some cases a different ethnic group might have more appeal just because they stand out from what you are used to seeing on a daily basis.

In some parts of the world, women are considered attractive for having very large hips, others extremely long necks. Some places look at man with a "gut" as a sign of prosperity and more marriageable while we in America worship the almighty "6 pack" abs.

Even in Western Societies this idea has changed many times. Take the fashion industry for example. Back in the 1980s the most successful models were robust and athletic (Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Trya Banks, Kathy Ireland) a decade later the premier models (Kate Moss for example) looked wasted away and starving to death.

I find many Indian women to be rather beautiful, same with asians and Africans, partly because they are different and exotic.

I've never noticed. I think eastern european women are quite hot. Sorta tough and non complaining types that don't break easy. British women crumble to pieces very easily. Very not sexy like causes me to pee my pants type crazy. hope this helps.

I read somewhere that in many different non-white cultures want to have more European characteristics. Asian women wanting bigger eyes, lighter black women in comparison to darker black women are viewed more appealing. I even heard about a paper bag test where if you are darker than the paper bag than you are not attractive.

Back then white women with a pale complication were consider beautiful compared to those who are tan. Women with a pale complication were wealthier because unlike other women they weren't out in the sun all the time. Now you notice white women wanting to be tan and feeling ugly without a tan. Now it seems like a tan signifies more wealth in comparison to those with a pale completion. Maybe because now those of greater wealth can travel to exotic places with more sun. One can say that about size. Larger heavier women use to be considered more beautiful because it signifies wealth were smaller unhealthier looking women it shows poverty. Now and days wealthier folks have more access to personal trainers and healthier foods so it's the opposite now. Women who are smaller and healthier looking are now considered more attractive.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is beauty is determined by wealth and power. So who has more wealth and power than white people?

beneath the surface, wealth and power is grotesque.

true by that doesn't change the fact that most people want wealth and power so they are more attracted to those with it. They want to be like those with it.

The perception of beauty would be much more different if black people had more wealth and power.

Err, what is THAT supposed to mean? Stereotyping an entire gender and nation of people..
