My mom and I live in Wenatchee, in a trailer she owns. We are looking to moving to Spokane. So she would sell her trailer. There are two trailers in two different parks we look into. They are both 55+ Community and both parks say one small animal. I am 24 years old and I live with her. I would be moving with her to Spokane. She has two small chihuahuas and I have two cats. I don't have any kids and I keep to myself. Both of us could from our Doctor's get notes saying that our animals are our therapy companions. I say I help mom out and that we keep the cats indoors. Also that we keep the dogs on leashes and clean up after them. Could the parks deny us? Here one place we look into http://www.qualityhomesonline.com/ho...QualityID=5670 and here is the other place we look into http://www.windermere.com/listing?legacyid=131694912 I have been looking here http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/ but I am not sure where to look exactly.

I also found this http://www.bazelon.org/LinkClick.asp...c%3D&tabid=245

Imho I think they could. They say one animal (and last time I looked for somewhere to live it was NO animals) and it is their place, I mean they own it...

Hi Miss Penguin,

If you have a note from a medical professional stating that the animals are medically necessary, they cannot refuse you...federal law regarding service animals. However, the cats could be an issue...Just be upfront with the parks about the cats so as not to get kicked out in the future. If it's a 55+ park that just means that the owner has to be 55+ anybody can live with them, but they cannot rent it out to somebody under 55.

I know some apartments will allow animals but require a deposit in case the animal damages their apartment. But I don't know how much damage they could do in a trailer park. If they are hesitant maybe offer them a deposit and let them know that you are responsible owners and the animals won't be running free and you will clean up all their poo when they are outside.

Good luck
