Well I don't really know if it's even possibly a contributing factor but, I am an Aquarius. And for some reason, my whole life, I have been drawn to the water (Only Swimming in POOLS but none the less I love to be by the water) and the sky (Particularly at night). Anyone else feel the strange allure of a particular element (Fire, water, earth, or air)? And maybe (if you feel comfortable) share your Western Zodiac Sign(Sun sign or whatever it's called :P )?

(Sorry, Mrs. Supernatural over here lol)

I feel ya, I've always had a special connection with water and the night sky, (and the wind and the trees.) I think some things are just naturally calming to a person, but what those sacred places are depends on the individual.

pssst I'm a cancer

Lol I can definitely see how the fact that you are a Cancer could possibly contribute to you having a connection with water and the night sky, because Cancer's Element is water and Cancer's Ruler is the moon
And I also have a thing for air (Hence the sky lol :P )

Just wanted to make it know that when I read the title of this post I thought it said

"Feeling Drawn to an Elephant?"

I was disappointed... I thought maybe I wasn't so strange after all...

Hey, Elephants are pretty awsome though :P And I have been told countless times that I'm strange (In good and bad ways) so don't feel bad

Leo here, I love basking in the sun and have been fascinated with fire since I was a little girl. Maybe it's not a coincidence...

I absolutely LOVE a warm, windy day. But I think perhaps my "element" is earth. I love the feel of cool, soft earth between my fingers and toes. I also love observing geomorphic features. I wanted to major in geology not too long ago, but chemistry class did not turn out so well....

I'm a Capricorn. Also, my oriental zodiac sign is the goat. Double goat!! And yet they're polar opposites: Capricorn is serious and sarcastic, the Chinese goat is dreamy and empathetic.

Yep, your element is Earth I'm now SERIOUSLY wondering if my theory about people of a certain astrology sign are attracted to their particular element :O And oh my gosh I never noticed that detail about the two goats! XD But I on the other hand am a Rat and a Water Bearer, and strangely they are more similar than different. :P

I don't wanna mess up your theory but I am a sag and I am mostly drawn to water, rain, snow and the night sky. I just figure it's to balance my natural fieriness

Hey, that's cool! And that could be true, opposites do attract :3

Kind of like, I love the sky and air (Aquarius is the element of air) and lets say I like fire. Air fuels the fire.
So basically you find things that mellow or balance (as you said) your personality attractive. While on the other hand some people find things that invigorate or even ,to use a good word pertaining to fire :P, ignite their own personality attractive.
It varies with each person it seems

I'm a Sag, and I have always been drawn to water. I love to swim. I love fountains. I also like to look at the stars often. It amazes me what a small part of the universe we are.

I agree piraeus, and I especially like to look at the stars on the beach. it's the only place where I can actually feel that the earth is round and I am just another grain of sand. it always helps me put things into perspective

I agree with both of you I found myself lastnight with the guy I like, and I was practically ignoring him to look at the stars. I saw the Big or Little (I can't tell the difference yet) Dipper, but I couldnt find O'ryan in the sky :/

Sun in Virgo (earth), ascendant in Virgo (earth) and moon in Cancer (water).

Chinese sign, earth Rooster. Western counterpart to Rooster is Virgo.

Glad I have a moon in Cancer or I'd be the utmost boring person on earth.

I like the earth.. I like collecting rocks, and digging in the dirt. I like things I can touch. But then again I like the sky and lakes as well.
Thanks for this!

I'm kind of an oddball I guess. Despite I'm Aries/dragon, I have none of the qualities generally associated with either sign or fire; I'm a mix of air and earth... I love rocks and caves but I also like to fly and open sky. My favorite place to be is on top of a mountain.

Do those places make you more calm, or neutral? Just wondering

I was born on Feb 19. The cusp between Aquarius and Pisces. I often feel drawn to water, light, but also wind and sound... not sure if that means anything.

I absolutely love the night sky! There's nothing more beautiful than a full moon at the beach sitting by a nice big bonfire; I'm crazy about fire

Oh, and I'm an Aquarius

Leo...so fire I think. And I like the dark too. Fire at night has a strong pull. Early man used fire at night to ward off wild animals/keep warm and provide comfort. I love campfires at night...can stay up til dawn stoking one and have on many occasions. Great time to feel peaceful and alone at the same time. Alone is usually the way it works out...everyone else usually turned in far before I did. heh! I don't mind alone in those circumstances. Haven't done that in years....suddenly i miss it. Maybe get one in this summer. Would be really nice. I don't camp anymore...I need to I think.
