This is something I know will be very sad for me, Every time I think of it I cry I am finding life very difficult right now, I feel numb everyday and I feel like life can't go on at times but I know that I am grieving.

Saying final goodbye to mum is going to be so hard I have written a letter to her so I can read it out in church.

Dear Tinkerbell...yes, everything you are feeling is normal when you lose someone you love. I know that numbness feeling and the emptiness and you just are on some type of auto pilot going through the motions each day. Everyone grieves in their own way. I think the letter to your Mum is a beautiful idea. As hard as it was, I did the same for my Father of whom I loved dearly. I thought I would never get through it, but I felt him there with me, giving me the strength to finish it. I have a friend that writes her Mom a letter ever year on her birthday and attaches it to a helium balloon. She goes to a local park by herself and says a few private things and let's the balloon go with the note on it. You will need to allow yourself time to grieve and take all the time you want. There are no rule books on how, where, when or how long. Let no one tell you different. You have already dealt with so much in your life. Now is your time to heal and be good to yourself. I wish you the best. You have made it this far so fight for yourself and continue with your life's journey. I must too struggle to continue to look ahead, not behind, but not to far ahead. Just one day at a time. Besides this world needs all the Tinkerbells we can get....lol They just don't make wings big enough to get my big butt off the ground...lol. Stay magical and stay free...

Saying goodbye to those that we deeply love is never easy. While the emotions can feel overwhelming, I do advise you to let those emotions out freely. That's what you need to do for your mental health.

The funeral was so emotional but yet such a lovely service, I was so proud of my daughter she read her own letter to mum and mine as I was so nervous to do it.

I did bury our letters with mum, It still doesn't feel real I know this will get easier but somehow I can't see it.
