Do you guys have piercings? If so, what, and why?

I have 7 piercings:
  • Lobes
  • Right helix (cartilage)
  • Right tragus
  • Left rook
  • Left conch
  • Bellybutton

I got my lobes done when I was 12 because I loved the look of earrings and I had wanted my ears pierced for years but my mom made me wait until I was old enough that I could/would take care of them on my own.

I got my other piercings over the past year or so mainly because I really like how they look, and also because getting a new piercing really lifts my mood.
Thanks for this!

I've got three piercings in each ear. Two in the lobes and one up high on the cartilage. Too much of a wienie to get anything else pierced.

It's funny. Most of my life I said I had enough holes in my head I didn't need to go get more. Then in my mid-40s I got my first piercings in my lobes. I was going through some major changes in my life and wanted something to celebrate any symbolize the changes. Couple of years later I decided to get the second piercings in my lobes. Then a few years later I decided to get the cartilage pierced. I'm contamplating getting another set lower on the cartilage.

Aside from lobe and bellybutton...lol forgive me, but I've no idea what the rest are.

lol I don't have anything pierced. I'm phobic of needles, and I don't think I could incorporate one into my "style" (or lack thereof).

I have had my ears pierced since I was 2. Got second holes in lobes when I was 13. Got my belly button pierced when I was 29. My tongue when I was 30. Clit hood when I was 30. Nose when I was 36. I only have tongue and ears still pierced, I let the others grow up.

Didn't know there were so many parts to the ear! Based on the map I have two in each lobe and one industrial on each ear.

Pfrog has two, but I can never put anything in them ... Metal allergies (even the good stuff) prevent me from wearing them ... ... I had the most wonderful pair of mermaid earrings I simply adored too ... !!!

Please, please take this down! I know, I can just ignore it and leave the thread, but my OCD will know that it is here. At least just the picture please ,just for today. I'll figure it out for tomorrow. Please.

Let's see:

Ear lobes 3 on each (only 2 still there)
Cartilage 1 on right ear ( no longer have)
Right lip (no longer)
Tongue (no longer)
Belly button (no longer)
Hood (no longer)

I want my tongue redone really bad lately. I get pierced n let em go with time. IDK why. Now I seem to be on tattoos. Working on third design now. It will ultimately become part of a backpiece so piiercings have been put off to the side burner.
Thanks for this!

I've gotta ask, as long as it's not considered TMI...the hood piercing, does that hurt? I'm a guy, so I'm not exactly an authority on that particular subject...but I've always thought it'd be incredibly painful.

lol I'd appreciate any answer...I've always wanted to ask that, but never had anyone I could ask.

LOL I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. I would imagine that it doesn't hurt very much, with the tissue being so thin. I've heard the startle of the needle is the worst part.

I've got my lobes pierced.
Left nipple (I tried doing them both but my nipples are inverted, always have been, my right nipple was more stubborn than the left and the guy couldn't get it to stick out... the left one sticks out now because it was pierced- I don't wear the jewelery anymore though.. I really need to get the right one done, the asymmetry bothers me.)
Tongue (took it out and it closed)
Nose (no longer wear it)
Lip, middle (no longer wear it, it was pierced wrong and chipped my teeth a bit)

The only piercing I have and wear is my septum, although I haven't worn it in a while... maybe I'll put it back in.

I like the look of cheek piercings, but dunno if I'd want holes there forever. I kinda wanna get another nostral piercing so I can wear two studs with the septum but I think it might be too much in one area... I'd need to get my bridge pierced or something. Also, I want to get a job lol.. hence the reason I got the septum, I can just stick it up my nose.

I did a lot of self piercing in middle school/HS which was BAADD.. I pierced my ears a ton of times and they all got infected and the jewelery kinda went in my skin and my grandma had to like dig them out hahaha, it was very painful. I pierced my belly button twice- second time it got infected... then my nose/incorrect lip piercing were self piercings... needless to say, I've learned and am hella anti-self piercings and give tweens lectures on Yahoo answers lol.
Thanks for this!

In the bottom picture, the piercings are: Lobe, rook (the one w/the two balls), and conch (the one with the ring).

You should get your tragus pierced! It's a super cute piercing, and it's actually quite discreet. Most people don't notice it.

I have one in each ear and i hope to be getting a Helix soon-ish and my nipples. It sounds silly but something I would like to do. I'm more interested in getting a couple of small tattoos.

rofl Thank you! lol I knew I couldn't be the only one with that question. I know nothing about the piercing (lol or to be frank, any other part of the question, to speak lightly ), and I've always been curious...lol I've just never had anyone I could ask.

Thanks...lol feel less alone in asking.
