Internet Explorer is good for one thing - downloading a different browser
![]() I don't use Windows 7 but no doubt the best browsers in my opinion are… Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Opera and Omniweb. Google Chrome is my favourite but I am participating in a boycott of Google and don't use Google services right now. |

I'm trying these:
Advanced browser. Avant Browser Ultimate. IE has a habit of messing things up despite being the better of all of them. There are a lot that just arent good. Last edited by Denv12; Jan 16, 2013 at 09:07 PM. Reason: added more info i forgot. |

Avant doesnt have a lot of colours to choose from.Try beige and another beige, and more varieties of beige. It does work for this forum and not a problem at all.I solved the dilema.
Advanced's buttons are a bit tiny. Its a nice one.I'll keep using it. I like FlashPeak Slimbrowser.Plenty of colours (we spell color as colour here in OZ)to choose from. They've got a website to see the range. Its very good but not when trying to use this forum. And,I'm still using IE9.Just for sentimental value. Last edited by Denv12; Jan 16, 2013 at 09:30 PM. |

The browsers I have installed are IE9, Chrome and Firefox. I mostly use the latter two and keep IE9 in the closet if the latter two won't work. This actually happened a couple months ago when Norton was contracted by Google to make a plug-in but it blew up in their face. As a result, Chrome would run painfully slow and crash, while Firefox unexpectedly got hit by the shrapnel. For some reason, IE9 remained intact. Once that issue got resolved, IE9 was stuffed back in the closet and Chrome and Firefox were once again my friends.
Of the two, I prefer Chrome because of the Chrome development tools for web development. It supports HTML5 the most, while IE9 is among the least supported and Firefox is somewhere below Chrome. |

Today I downloaded comode dragon .I'm using that here now.Be interesting to see if it functions better. It doesnt have the buttons at the top of the screen like IE.It does have plenty of themes to choose from.
I uninstalled advanced browser. It was nice evan had buttons like IE but it wasnt up to what I wanted. I'll keep trying some more until I figure out the good ones with good buttons similar to IE. I use flashpeak Slimbrower for listening to internet radio. Its good and you can change the themes. They've got plenty. Chris. |

These are the ones I'm trying as of today: GreenBrowser. Its working so far.Very similar to IE9 with the buttons.Plenty of options compared to comodo dragon. And,comodo dragon.I'ver been using that here.Lacks colour and variety of buttons but it works here on this forum. Other favourites: IE9 FlashPeak SlimBrowser. Avant was good. |

Am I old school by using just plain old Google Chrome as a browser? LOL.
