Belgium Waffles nice & fluffy with fresh strawberries or Raspberries smothered over the top. I have one of those wonderful flip over belgium waffle makers.....they make the best waffles
However I also love Pumpkin pancakes with pumpkin butter on top. Maple syrup on Waffles or plain pancakes has to be the PURE 100% Maple

Waffles. They are easier. I have a nice electric waffle oven. It just requires pouring the batter in and waiting. My pancakes are rarely so predictable.

I'll admit I haven't tasted much variety.  But the texture of waffles is so much nicer than that of pancakes. If only I was allowed a waffle maker here.

Euro pancake (almost crepe thin) with jam and cream. Is snack or supper food.
Or freshly made waffle from unsweetened batter, warm. If I have to choose I say pancake I always loved pancakes!!!!!!!! |

Waffles simply because I have to put them in the toaster in the morning then drizzle (or down) with maple syrup. Pancakes take more work and frozen ones aren't as good.
In terms of fresh waffles or pancakes, I'll eat both of them. |

I like waffles with peanut butter and maple syrup once every couple of years ~ it is sweet, but it's pretty darn tasty with Nutri-Grain wheat frozen waffles.
Otherwise, I stick to my last answer: homemade blueberry pancakes every now and then.

I like waffles IF they are not hard. The prefab frozen ones that you put in the toaster tend to be hard, in my experience. Like - they can scratch the roof of my mouth, which is not pleasant.
Incidentally, the superiority of real maple syrup over the fake syrups is totally worth the price, IMO. That is a reason why I can't say I've ever had really great waffles or pancakes at any chain pancake/waffle house. I wonder if they serve the fake sweet syrup even in Vermont. |
