I don't know if this has been posted before but what is your favorite sayings when your mood is down.
My favorites are: This too shall pass- this one is the first one because I've been through ups and downs in my life and the downs do pass it doesn't linger. My own saying I have and I've made it after my last depressive episode is. You never alone! Think of it for instance are you really alone? I had feelings like this before and looking back at it it makes me laugh because it sounds silly! But I know how others feel and am not saying your feelings is silly I just think my feelings and thoughts was silly. At the moment I have feelings of being a under achiever. But enough of me what is your favorite sayings? |

That's usually why I use it
![]() ![]() I also use a variation of this too shall pass but I use the George Harrison version. I used to use a line from The Fellowship of the Ring where the hobbits are passing through the Old Forest. Something about not singing cheerful songs until they were almost out of the forest (anxiety & depression) when they would turn and give a rousing (razzing) chorus. |

***** Happens.....that phrase always helped me keep my cool when things go wrong.
Mistakes are made by everybody....the smart ones focus not on what was done wrong but how to resolve or prevent for the future. Never be afraid to ask questions. It start communication of ideas and adds to our knowledge base. |

The past is history, the future is a mystery, today is a gift......that's why they call it the present

{Feck this shite}
I swear...the stress levels will drop like mercury in hells hockey rink on the second coming. Ya...just...can't...over-use it. When it's all goin' down...when the weight can't be borne any longer...when you just HAVE to let yourself or others know you're steppin' out of the frying pan... Rip one off with like...real conviction in your voice... Yep...but just save it for the big stuff... *and never in front of yer mum...* |

Well, I can't say some of mine here because they are from the Bible, but otherwise, I like sayings such as "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger," "The sun will come out tomorrow" (and I sing that song from the musical "Annie"), and I even think of my therapist's favorite saying (done with her Southern accent), "Well, bless your heart!"
