I don't mind the snow and cold but I HATE when it is dark at 5:30pm. That means I have to use a flashlight in the evening when I feed my horse.

I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and dread the winter months intensely. Yes, I use the light and it helps but it's not enough. Combine this with the major depressive episode I am in, Pdoc and I are worried.

Have you had your blood tested for your vitamin D levels. Doctors now recommend adults take at least 2000 mg of vitamin D. It helps with depression, achiness and prevention of some cancers.

I dread the winter coming, cause I hate cleaning the sidewalks and walking the dog. I'm also not a fan of Christmas and don't like the pressure of buying gifts and how commercialized it's become. It really bugs the crap out of me - as soon as Halloween is over, they put out the Xmas decorations.

I'm glad it's gone! I find summer too hot and I live in western Washington. Besides I prefer fall clothes.
