i have seen it so many times now, but it gets me every time!

i dont know if youve seen it, its called Ladder 49. it stars Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta.

its about a firefighter (played by Joaquin Phoenix) who gets trapped in a burning building and has flashbacks of his life leading up to that point, it mainly shows him progressing through the firefighter house, but it also shows when he first met his wife, and when they eventually have 2 kids.

it is such a sad film, come the end. it touches you and it makes you get to know that character so come the end you feel you've been with him on his journey.

it also has 3 FANTASTIC songs in it, the first one called "How To Dream" and is sung by Sam Phillips, the second being "As Im Leaving" by David Gray and the third is "Shine Your Light" by Robbie Robertson (my personal favourite song from the film, its even in my all time favourite songs list).

i urge anyone who hasnt seen it yet to go rent or buy it, it really is good. i dont know how good i make it sounbd in this post but however i explain it, its better.

have you already seen it, if so, what did you think of it.

id love to hear your thoughts.

I was told it was a good movie...

And yeah it was wonderful and touching.

My friend who watched it with me though, he neglected to mention it has such a sad ending... needless to say, he'll be telling me if its sad when we watch other movies because I get far too emotional!!

But yes, certainly watch the movie if you can emotionally handle the content.

they tried to keep it away from the 9/11 situation, i saw an interview with someone from the film, think it was the producer. he said that because it was new york, and with everything that happened on 9/11, he wanted to steer away from it, i think they pulled it off succesfully but it does upset people who link it to 9/11.

even so, i think it is such a great film. the soundtrack is awesome too like i said. anyone know the songs i mean? i can put it on my homepage if you want so you can hear my 3 favourite songs from the film?

let me know if you do.
