fortunately the giraffes necks were so long they could walk across and their heads were still sticking out of the water...the animals took ahold of each others necks and the giraffe pulled them all to safety..

fortunately the elephants tore down some large limbs from trees and they tied them around the giraffes necks like splinters...they healed and were fine...

Unfortunately the elephants being so heavy, bogged down in the muddy land while everyone else went ashore.

fortunately the elephants did eat the large cocoanut tree leaves that the grateful giraffes plucked down for them...and their trunks got so strong they were able to pull themselves up out of the mud....
