I'm afraid I may lose it. My mother died this past summer. The cemetery is right next to my home. I can walk to her grave in less than 5 minutes. I go almost everyday because I am still grieving, and today I just got home and the flowers I made (an autumn silk flower arrangement I made myself) are GONE. Can somebody actually have stolen it? I also have a couple of nice solar lights and an angel there but they were not taken. I looked around but can't find it. I know it couldn't have blown away anyway because the pot is very heavy.

I put it down about a month ago. I haven't moved it or touched it since. Thanks, I just don't know.

Alas, I heard of people stealing nice flower arrangements from somebody's grave. Of course, these people are not very nice in my book.
I'm so sorry the arrangement is gone, regardess of why. ![]() |

People that steal steal things for no reason sometimes. Maybe they liked it and wanted it in their space. Maybe it was a trigger for them and they wanted it gone. Maybe they just wanted to cause trouble. I'm sorry this happened to you because you made it as a tribute to your mother. It had meaning for you. Maybe your could make something else you can tie down so nobody can take it.

When my father passed my Mom and I put absolutely beautiful floral arrangements on his grave and they were constantly stolen. I walked around trying to fathom it and found the first arrangement on someone else's monument. They continued to take whatever we put there until we finally quit putting top notch arrangements on Dad's grave.
I'm sorry for your shock and pain. I hope you can recover from this. Hugs, Jan ![]()

Thank you Jan (and everyone). I have talked to some of my friends and one said this happens all the time and my dad was surprised at all! One of my friends told me to "stop a minute and be thankful that it wasn't you who did that." I go for a walk almost daily through the (huge) cemetery and I am always straightening things that have fallen over or a few times I actually stopped and cleaned bird poop off the stones, so I was just not able to imagine taking something. I still think the world should be made of hearts and cotton candy I suppose.

I think those people are called grave robbers. Sorry that's happening.
