woo woo i am so exited i have just managed to get the last 2 peices to complete a set of wade whimseys dated 1958-1961 set 9 north american animals,

i paid £8.04 and £5.72 for the peices ( grizzly bear, and grizzly cub) they are worth £32 and £20 respectively and the set complete is worth £186 in the book

i cataloged my collection last night so i could sell them but had a change of heart, its the only hobbie i have and its not the money i am interested in, i am going to try and complete all my sets with the help off ebay sellers who dont know what they have got, most peices are only worth £3- £4 each but as complete sets they are worth much more

Are they made of jade? They look like it in the pics. I've never heard of them before but they are really cute.

no they are pottery jan, their are 7 in the set
a snowy owl worth £32
racoon worth £22
grizzly bear worth £32
3 bear cubs 2 worth £20 and 1 worth £28
cougar worth £32
i have paid about £60 in total buying the set seperatly
they are all in mint condition, chipped ones are only worth pennies, i was lucky to get these 2 today from the same buyer to complete the set,
i should buy a printers block so i can put them on display, at the moment they are are all wrapped up and stored in a draw
they are worth more if i sold them has a complete set due to there age 1958 to 1961 and they are one of the sets not reproduced or added to at a later date.

it is like a wooden tray with individual sections that can be mounted on the wall to display my collections, they vary in size but typically they are 3 inch square sections with varying amounts of squares in each block.

here are some of the other peices i bought this weekend

i have being going a bit mad on ebay this week, i am still waiting for 24 peices of wade to be delivered and i am bidding on a book in 3 hours, i had to give my friend money to save for me for food/smokes ect so i dont spend it all, my ocd is killing me financialy, i have spent £75 ($150) this week on wade, but it is worth it cause it makes me smile when i get a delivery from the post office.

i missed out on a good deal yesterday, there was a job lot of 40 wades, in original boxes, complete sets from 1 to 8 (20 sets in total) that i got outbid on in the dieing moments, that would have been nice to add to my collection, it is very rare to get the original boxes nevermind complete boxed sets
