Got drug out today by a neighbor to the park Thanksgiving Dinner. The food was good... I could have done a better job on the dressing, but the sweet potatoes were YUMMY! BUT... the entertainment was GREAT and so were the smilies between neighbors, the recognition of songs and the winks exchanged... even my back door neighbor pointing at me when he caught me singing along with a song in Spanish!
 Today, I gave thanks for Dee, her daughter Karen, Miss Ruby, Maria, Paul, the entertainer and because Jerry behaved like a perfect gentleman. I even have thanks for his tears as an impromptu guest sang Amazing Grace.

Wish I was there! Sounds like a great time. Hope you saved us some sweet potatoes..YUM!

No, I know. Not the same Dee. LOL As a matter of fact, we brought home two extra servings of everything. Race you to the fridge!  I think these sweet potatoes had cloves in them and I KNOW they had raisins in them! Ta die for!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

p.s. i probably would have cried too at Amazing Grace!!!
I dont know why but everytime I hear the Star Spangled Banner I cry!!! Somethign about that song!!!!!

Sounds like you had a "well deserved" wondeful day... Yummm and all that food too.... Happy dancing with ya.....
BTW what is your recipe for dressing. Sometimes mine turns out good, mostly not..

Mine always turned out lousy until I started using Stove Top. Instead of water and butter, I add the juices from the turkey. EASY! LOL
BTW, I don't stuff my turkey. The dressing is always "gunky" anyway. I don't like it that way. I like it fluffy.

I can't stand the look of the stuffing when is all cooked up, it looks really bad to me, so, I don't stuff the turkey either.
I use apples, onions and Celery, with lots of herbs, mmmmm goody!

Thanks September... I love dressing stuffed in the turkey.. But mine also sometimes gets all gooey..and I hate that... Will try the stove top stuffing this year...

I THINK, but I'm not sure that Stove Top has instructions for stuffing the turkey. If I was you, I'd cut down on the liquid for sure!

I didn't know there was such a thing! I order my groceries on the computer so I don't get to see all the new goodies in the grocery store! Maybe I'll have to take a trip in one of these days!
