Relieved to hear the beard love! Every time i go home mum tells me to shave. Think she'd prefer me looking like a 9 year old...

Mine's quite light, slightly thicker goatee - think it works for me, makes me look a few years older which is good. Grows a little faster on the right than the left though have to keep it in check with a clipper

Guess I have testosterone in my balls

If we're talking strictly looks, it depends on the guy and which type of facial hair. For instance, my husband looks super creepy with a mustache but rocks a goatee. Super creepy. I think a man can really use his facial hair to his advantage, but only if he is comfortable with it. And honest about it, because not everyone can rock mutton chops and chin straps are just gross.

Love it. Not a full beard, but stubble. Fantastic

If, and only if, the guy is hygienic, obviously cares about his appearance, and cares enough to actually groom (shampoo, comb and trim) his beard almost skin close, for example...like George Michael in Wham, then and only then would I like facial hair on guys.

I see so many males who don't shave, don't bathe, don't care about their appearance. And it's such a shame they don't care. It's just basic human nature to care about others but when others see a person who doesn't make the effort to be the best they can be, even cleanly shaved, bathed, and clothed, all makes others not want to be around them.

Hygiene is important.

I'm a girl, but I don't like facial hair at all O.o Some guys don't like to shave because they think it makes them look less manly, but I actually like them without all the facial hair lol.

Am I aloud to say I hate facial hair because I have facial hair and I hate to shave my facial hair...If so then yes, I hate it.

If you want to see something funny though, look up beard facts then click images.

I just watched an 80s movie Mr. Mom on TV with Michael Keaton sporting a beard. What do the women think of that?

I prefer clean shaving. However I don't think it looks bad when a guy has a five o'clock shadow.

Okay, question for all those that have answered they do like facial hair ...

Do you prefer all black or brown or whatnot, or do you like a speckling of gray in it? You know, that little bit of gray often considered aged and sophisticated?

I prefer a clean shave but some men look really sharp with facial hair; it just depends on the face shape and how the hair grows in. Scraggly looking beards, yikes. Just seems like a bad attempt that cannot be helped other than to shave it off.

Coloring does not make as much of a difference for preference rather than how it is kept and type of facial hair style to match the face and facial features.

As a guy, I prefer to have facial hair because without it people think I'm way younger than I am. While that may sound nice, when you're a 31 year old guy sitting in a waiting room and you get asked if you're missing school to be there, it's the opposite of nice

Not to mention it stinks having to get daily razor burn on your face and neck in order to maintain that clean shaven look!

I'm an in between lover I guess... I love the scruffy look. Not clean shaven, but not full beard, either. There's something quite sexy about it.

I am 41 and I have had 20 years of on/off of growing facial hair.

Plus, referring back to an earlier point, I dated a woman quite a bit younger than me for a while and when she confessed she had a 'daddy' thing going on I freaked!

Can a woman explain this to me without it sounding incestuous?!?

Mustaches are very 1970's while stubble is very today.

Oh yeah! I totally agree with you! I couldn't stand from adding here a reply because only several days ago I had an argument with one my friend about beards and masculinity... Well, he thinks that every true man should have a beard and I'm not agree with that, I'm glad to know that i'm not the one with such position!
Beards are cool, really cool, especially well cared and trimmed, like on these pics 35 Fashionable Full Beard Looks ? Join The Beard Gang for example But thinking that only beard is a feauture of a true man is so stuoid and funny at the same time...
The only type of facial hair which I don't like very much is the stubble type, it really fits quiet a small amount of men

Facial hair on guys, love it or hate it?

It depends on the guy. Some guys can rock facial hair. My husband does not, though.

I can't go near a man again but I don't like beards. Stubble but not beards. I don't like how all the young guys have beards nowadays. It seems to be the fashion. Urgh!

Depends on the guy...
Current boyfriend... Definitely not, never, no, please don't grow facial hair
Other guys... Can definitely look hot. Never actually kissed a guy with more levels than a stubble though

I am in early 30s and I have started liking it, as honestly it’s hard to get rid of it regularly, so eventually you are meant to love it. However, I like to keep the style intact and that’s why I prefer best like this , it’s pretty cool. I have tried nearly all of them, but I love detailed and connected best!

early 50s guy. I rock a full on beard. I have had a beard most of the time since I could grow one. My face gets seriously irritated by razors, so I grew a beard to not have to shave. I also have one of those faces that looks much better with a beard on it.

As far as other guys, it depends on the guy, some can wear a beard and some just can't.

Definitely yes. "Movember' is my favourite time of year ("movember' is grow-a-moustache for pancreatic cancer awareness month in Canada and some other countries. Men are encouraged to grow facial hair for the entire month of November). Seeing your son sporting a beard though is quite the shock.

Hate it. I wouldn't want to kiss someone hairy. Hairs are annoying and sharp.
