So I am on my last batch of cookies here. Making Peanut Blossoms. I got the batter alllllllllll mixed up . I looked at the recipe good too!. Or so I thought. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll What I thought said 3/4 C of flour turned out to be 3 and 1/2 Cups LOL!!!!!!!!! The first sheet of cookies are as flat as a pancake! . I have had more trouble baking this year. This is my 5 kind of cookie. And I wanted them to turn out sooo good. I think my mom is playing tricks on me here. She is prolly trying to get me to laugh at myself lol. This is why I dont like to make cookies at Christmas. It brings back the thought that she is not here to do this with me. I miss her so much.

Oh (((((((((((sweetsunshine)))))))))))))))))). I so understand how it feels to be without your mom especially during the holidays. Maybe she is looking down and laughing kindly at your pancake cookies. I certainly like to think so. Take care and I am sorry that you are feeling so sad.

I miss my mom at this time of year too even though she was not in general a nice person she always made a big dinner and pies and such. that was the fun time at her house.

Happy cookie baking Bethy. I'm sure your mom is smiling.
My daughter used to call those flat cookies that didn't work cow paddie cookies. How I miss them and her.

Don't feel bad Bethy! At Thanksgiving, I made a huge bowl of banana pudding, just like Mom use to make, except when it called for one dozen egg yolks, I put in the egg whites!! Just didn't taste the same! Hee hee!!

((((Beth)))) I know exactly what you mean. I miss my mum too especially during the holidays. She used to bake up a storm for Christmas and New Years, so I've taken on the tradition. It took me 25 YEARS to get one recipe down and have it taste like hers. When I tasted the cookies I cried my eyes out like a baby...LOL
