I found my username by doing a simple Google search. I wanted something that was different and unusual. Arethusa is a Greek nymph (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arethusa_(mythology)) But I chose it because it means "excellence," according to Behind the Name: Meaning, Origin and History of the Name Arethusa. That is what I strive for in my diurnal fight against depression.

So, how did you come up with your username?
Thanks for this!

Just seems I'm forever waiting....for. And never really sure what it is, nor if I'll ever find it.

I was struggling in marriage. Recognized that I needed to focus work on myself, not him. Was about to start therapy, was utilizing an online support group, not this one, at that point. Self work is a healing process. I could only fix myself not others. I forget why all small case. Probably thought it looked better. Hence healingme4me since @2007.

Oh, so cool. I kind of hate my user name... I wanted to quickly start posting, but I wanted something that was absolutely not related to any user name that I had used anywhere else. So I picked a random word from the dictionary! Yup. Seriously. Now I realize it doesn't feel like me... but whatever. I haven't been able to think of anything better. *So Sigh!*

My current one's simple. I have OCD, and German is my second-language, so I went with Zwangsstörung, which means "OCD" in German, or more specifically (as far as I know) "compulsive disorder."

raindrop was my first kitty. I still cry if I think about her and it's been flipping 24 years she's been gone. Vampire, well how cool would an actual raindrop vampire be?? Picture something just waiting for it to rain so it could suck up some sustenance. I'm a goof what can I say

I loved the freesia flower from where I used to live, grew in my garden, and was homesick for my old place and friends that used to hang out there; however I had been up with insomnia for several weeks and misspelled it in the wee hours of the morning when I found this site. My username is not perfect like the flower would be, but perfectly flawed like me.

I wanted to get away from my last username "Krasnoi Zvezdy".

History interests me, and the most I favor in the medieval time period is the great bubonic plague pandemic, so I took the opportunity to have the name suitable for me.

Because most variations of anonymous were taken, and there was a copy of Shakespeare's plays on my desk at the time.

I had wanted to go with "hobbit" because our dwelling seems to be meant for one, yet much smaller. The name was taken, so I scanned through our bookshelves for something different and came across this one. I live in my own world, a world of my own making and this is what I thought of when I thought of this book.

Whenever a website requires a username, I try to quickly think of one--not much thought goes into it.
Basically, I often feel like I am seeking help/answers/encouragement. And most days I feel like I am sinking beneath the oceans waves. Hence seekersinking.

Wow...it came easily for me...my repressed feelings r slowly killin me....they've begun to present themselves through physical symptoms for quite some time now....my therapist says if I keep up with the repression of my emotions......my physical health already affected could only get worse and in some cases resulted in death!.....everyday I struggle with my now severe form acid reflux(GERD)....and even more painful I've also developed peptic ulceritis....how do yous begin to feel....or how to stop repression without emotional overload?...it's a mess and it seems I lose no matter what choice I make...cause once I stop the emotions come back but not one by one but they all come rushing back all as a team....years of emotions unclaimed...overwhelming my mind and then I physically get sick yet again.... I feel even worse than ever I think...so what do I do?...where do I go from here?....on one hand inside there's just this unending numbness or void...my emotions unachknowled r filed away somewhere deep within...occasionally popping up...or tryin to come out so I then I get acid or ulcer flares ups....or then there's option 2...unblock or lift the filter I use to suppress...instead let the thoughts and emotions flood in.....so many years I had no idea I was hiding so much within and when faced with them then all will flood in overwhelming all senses and I'll grow sicker than yet I was before....What do yous do when the only choices r both ones I cannot live with much longer!?

The Earl of Lemongrab is a character from the show Adventure Time. He is a failed experiment who is made of lemon, not candy like all the other denizens of the Candy Kingdom. As a result he is markedly different in manner: he is socially awkward, emotionally unstable and decidedly psychotic.
I feel I am made of different stuff to the rest of society, so I have always identified with Lemongrab.

My username is a gift from a friend. My friend was a Buddhist monk who also happened to be a heroin addict. An incredibly insightful man. He gave me the name "Sister Rags". I was on the telephone with him when he overdosed and died. That was about 7 years ago.
