2 wonderful girls 11 and 14. Sadly my relationship with the older is getting very strained. Teenager + MI Dad = STRESS!

I have one only child daughter 36 years old.....we are a long line of only children & I didn't believe that I could ever be a good mother so I didn't think it was fair to have kids.....she sort of snuck in on us a few years after we got married & before I got my degree.....added to my life challenges but so thaniful to have her as she is really my only family. I was an only child & both my parents were only children....makes for a very small family after my parents died....only have my daughter......we live across the US from each other.....but it's ok even though she hates the phone & only will text....but at least that's better than nothing.

No two legged, but three four legged, furry rescues: 4 yo, 3 yo, & a 9 mo old handful, that is keeping my on my toes more than my two legged niece or nephew ever did.

Just like Possum, I also have sweet niece, even she is more like younger friend than child to me. I don't have any own kids, used to be pet mama. I am very scared of everything that has to do with having child, so it would need lots of mental work to even plan one, and of course I would have to be off meds, that would be too bad. Plus I wonder if I could handle a child, and what if I get sick child that needs extra attention...

My wife and I have a son who will turn 6 later this month. Our daughter was born prematurely in 2006 and died when she was about 2 weeks old.
