And these people should know the way I do, and react to things may well not be the way most would, but, it is "normal" for me, and has been my entire life........
Yes, I do keep avoiding treatments, not just psych (but that is the biggest argument) but medical and dental as well.
Reason for the dental is pretty straight froward Yes you read that correctly...I may live on the east coast now, but when I was much MUCH younger, I lived in Phoenix, AZ (so that was a good environment for them) and had gone camping with a few friends, appearently shomehow ard, everytime anyone touches any tooth, it hurts worst then it did before I saw that guy - in some cases, it didn't hurt at all until it was touched because it wasn't right - but DID NOT hurt!
Medical - just like Psych - keeps handing me drugs that either don't help the problem, create other problems, make me feel like they they are watching everything I do with them, or any combination thereof - I ABSOLUTELY won't put up with any of that. I have in the past opted to patch myself up literately reading a web site on how, while doing it with tools not made for it - reason was, I knew I show up like that at an ER, they WILL call the police, and I ABSOLUTELY did not want to talk to them - so I would rather handle it myself. Figuring if those tools gave my an infection, so what? - that way they treated an infection that they do not need to call anyone about rather than an injury that they do. Besides injuries, I now avoid them even for illnesses that I am not sure could be be cured with stuff I take home - and am extra careful about that because I already got stuck there a few times - hated it, so basically, I use my own bed, and am told what to do - you make sure I have access, then leave me alone to do it, or don't do anything.
And yes I stick to that hard - but it's hardly new for me - I will avoid anything that might result in anything I do not want, and always have.
So that's just the way I am - always have been, why can't people just accept that, and stop trying to push things?
Frankly I don't care - I have tried things there way, and yes it was "easier", but I was miserable over what I lost to do it so.....

Hi Redbarchetta:

I think this way too:

"I will avoid anything that might result in anything I do not want, and always have."

Don't matter what happens in your life. Be strong anyway.
