Yep, today is Pi day. To celebrate you can ... um ...

well you can do math

Or better, get yourself a slice of Pie! ... and then do the match for how Pi figures into the area of your Pie ...

Okay, so anyway ... Happy Pi Day!

Pi Day Is Extra-Special This Year. Please Celebrate Responsibly, With At Least One Slice Of Pie

I understand the importance of Pi ( the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter). That said, even if Pi is an equation (it has been taken out ten trillion digits and is still an irrational number), I'm content to define Pi as 3.14

Yeah, I'd rather eat a slice of pie than try to determine if Pi is an equation.
Thanks for this!

I didn't know pi had it's own day, do any other mathematical constants have their own day?

I'll make a cushaw pie to celebrate......don't care about math. I got through it enough to get my degree & do what little math I needed in my engineering career.......forget about the ballistics calculations.....leave that to other engineers......

I just need enough math to be able to do my budget monthly & make sure I don't overdraw my account......Pi doesn't help me with that & not much else is helpful in life IMO.

I can calculate the amount of fencing I need for my farm without Pi also...so I'm happy....I'll stick with PIE thank you
