I would have completely sound proof house built with a large basement for myself and when my wife's family visits they could stay upstairs and I would not hear a sound. Also 2 new computers. Other than that things would remain largely the same for me - spending all day on the computer. I have no idea what my wife would do with all of her time.

I would spend time working on my dressage riding & get a horse that is grand prix level to work on (along with bring my mare to my farm also because she's so special)....I would also put her in dressage training so we could progress together on top of having the higher level horse to be able to show on in the mean time.

I would also go back to a seminary university where I would get my masters & maybe PhD in Apologetics......even at the age of 62.

I would probably sell the farm I have & buy one that is more suited for horses & maybe one that is historical in this area & hire people to help me rather than having to do everything myself.

I've traveled & seem much of the US....have always desired to take a trip to Israel but mostly at this point in my life....I just want to enjoy my life at home & with all my critters surrounding me.

I would also continue doing all the volunteer work that I enjoy doing now.

Actually, I do... for 29 years I haven't worked. however...we all know that it's because I was disabled at work... and I spend all my time so-to-speak taking care of myself and daily living affairs.

BUT ... ah yes, what I was trying to do altruistically before I was injured...

I would move to a small, isolated island somewhere with a nice house on it. (Okay, so my own large private island with all the nice features). I would spend my time taking care of 2 dogs (don't actually have them yet), writing music, and strolling the beach or going on my yacht.

I've got a bunch of different charity projects I'd love to be able to support. Those would be the first order of business.

Then I'd write more and travel and garden.

I would move to another state and try to rebuild my life from a new scene and new support. I planned to do this anyway, but if I had the money it would be sooner and I would have a lot less to worry about.

I would volunteer at my riding stable under the condition that in addition to me working, they would give me hands on education about horses
I would take a computer course at the college like I have wanted to do for years.
I would buy a small house on a poison ivy-free acreage.
I would join the gym of my choice and go every other day.

Maybe Traveling maybe and enjoying life. The best thing about traveling and enjoying life is that you get to meet a lot of people and you get to learn different culture which is awesome. Learning those things makes you create a book of your travel.

I would take up traveling and put more time towards artwork. And I would spend more time with the people I love.
My husband and I have periodically fantasized about having enough money to take all of our friends and family on a trip around the world. It's a nice dream.

After paying off debts, making sure the monthly expenses are covered, buying a car & a home, I'd do volunteering. I plan to do that anyway. Especially at the animal shelter.

Buy a farm, raise mastiffs, Clydesdales and Percherons, travel the world and invest in a street food truck. Always wanted one.

Tough question, because SO much of my life went into suspended animation when I started developing GAD and MDD.

One thing for sure---I'd parcel up some money for friends who have been going without for far too long, and hopefully ease the stress they've been feeling.

I'd travel.
I'd also start a business (home-based), and get back to a few hobbies I had to abandon so long ago.

I would hook up with favourite charities and do as much work as I possibly could for them, AOAP----and also make a priority out of following, and perhaps contributing to, Mental Health Initiatives (and research) here, and in the States.

I'd start an animal rescue/rehab/sanctuary and education center. Dogs and parrots mostly, but open to any animal in need. And I'd offer tons of classes for people to make them better pet-parents.

I would-

-Buy my mom a new car & new house, make sure all of her bills were paid & she had someone whom is able to help her when she needed it (she is in her 80's)....(I would move FAR away).

-Buy a house on a beach with as much land as I could have around me.

-Start an animal rescue. Provide a free spay & neuteer program.

-Find a T I like and have T a few times a week. Find a personal trainer & work out. Eat "cleaner".

-My day to day life would basically be the same, except I would be at the beach....but now I would have T & a personal trainer.

Buy an old house with a huge porch on some acreage
Rescue and adopt all kinds of critters, but esp dogs who are targeted by breed specific legislation
Design, paint, collage, refurbish and repurpose
Travel

Nvisible1.

I , to , am against breed specific discrimination & legislation. I happen to love and own a "dangerous" breed of dog...She is is SWEETEST girl, as were to rescues I have owned. I specifically will ask to pet "Dangerous breeds" when I see them.

A tangent~Last yesr I was walking my dog & a lady said to me, "is that a certain dog". And I said "Yes". I am proud of how well my dog walks & usually people admire how pretty and well groomed she is. Lady-"That type of dog ate a child in whatever town, I stay away from them", and she made a face.
Me-"well a man left his baby in a hot car and cooked the baby to death, it is all over the news. I suggest you stay away from them as well!!".

I've been playing the lotto lately with real hopes of winning (but full awareness of it's unlikelihood).. here's what I would do (in no specific order):

1. Buy the house across the street from my parents in the country.
2. Buy a Tesla!
3. Buy a Cadillac Escalade for the winter & long trips!
4. Buy a CNC router and other guitar making tools so I could start my own little online business
5. Buy all of my siblings houses near me in the country and new cars.
6. Help out the rest of my family
7. Start a charity to help low-income families and children
8. Become a green machine.. get my family converted to solar/wind energy and start spending money to help get the community clean and liter free

there's more, obviously, but you get the idea!

I would travel a lot.
I would go to concerts.
I would be a beautiful house in England.
I would take classes to learn other languages.
I would probably do some charity work, probably with animals.

All very nice things!!! I like to see people listing charity and helping animals!! Your post made me realize I forgot to list education in mine.. especially foreign language. I'd like to learn a few (if I were smart enough). Interesting to see what people would do with 'rich people' money!

Ooo, we're talking rich people money!
Then I'd buy a brand new car, the hell with the value dropping the moment you drive off the lot.
Get mom a suite at one the really nice assisted living places. The ones that do the chief quality cooking and have one to one help and great on site medical help. She's in her late eighties and deserves some pampering.
Pay off my daughter's mortgage and buy her a new car too.
