I'm pitiful at the moment. New Antique Picking something up like that is unwieldly. It would take both hands.

Miss Petunia, are you able to offer any hints on this?

New Antique

Don't forget how small it is.

Hint-- it is related to clothing, but not a sewing item.

This is a toughie. I had never heard of this item. It is wayyyyyyyyyyy cool. New Antique

Petunia said it has something to do with clothing - what about a press-stud closer? (With the garments from those days, I imagine a gadget like this would have come in handy) (If they had press-studs, that is New Antique )

New Antique Yeah, I read that New Antique

Not a button press. I usually do well with deductive reasoning New Antique

Why would a chatelain need to carry this about all day?

I thought about it being used to turn cloth rightside out after sewing... or like for a sock or other small item.

Is it magnetic? Does it pick up pins and needles?

Your kinda getting close but it has nothing to do with sewing.

And it's not magnetic. New Antique
