Oh no! Don't tell me yet PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE?

Ok it's about 4' long, worn on her chain so she has it all the time to use easily, it picks something up and it's related to clothing (but not sewing.) Did I miss any other clues? (Other than what it isn't.)

No, sorry. No buttons involved.

And here's another hint. It's not something she used inside.

Doesn't clean clothing of anything? Not lint, not animal hair, not other clothing?

So then it picks up something OF clothing? Hot, dry, clothes so she doesn't touch the buttons heated from the sun?
